Angelique Albert is the Executive Director of the Salish Kootenai College/Foundation (SKC/F), a tribal college located on the Flathead Indian Reservation in Pablo, Montana. SKC offers 37 majors in undergraduate programs, and enrolls approximately 1.700 undergraduate students. Over 75% of the student population if American Indian, with over 70 tribes represented. SKC prides itself on innovation in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

Ms. Albert is a Tribal leader focused on developing opportunities in Indian Country and works tirelessly to build relationships between tribal businesses and Corporate America. Ms. Albert has a long and successful history of leadership training and currently serves on several tribal and community boards. Ms. Albert speaks on issues relating to Indian Country. Because of her strong commitment to her community and the Salish Kootenai Foundation, she has developed a successful connection with tribal, community, and government leaders. Ms. Albert initiated discussions between the Salish Kootenai College (SKC) School of Engineering and Northrop Grumman, with the intent of partnering and supporting research for the DoD Mentor-Protégé and Small Business Innovation Research Program (SBIR) as a goal for SKC. These initiatives will support SKC’s efforts to promote research opportunities, strengthen academics and enhance the overall student experience at SKC and Industry. As a result, SKC is a potential Protégé under NASA’s Mentor-Protégé program

Because of Ms. Albert’s proactive approach, Northrop Grumman continues to advise and support Indian country in pursuit of higher education for research and technology. SKC is a member of the American Indian Higher Education Consortium, which is a community of tribally and federally chartered institutions working to strengthen tribal nations and make a lasting difference in the lives of American Indians and Alaska Natives.
